  4. SNAPSHOTS : GEORGE’S ISLAND

    georges1

Happy September, friends! I hope your long weekend was filled with sunshine and good sales.

While it mat be the ‘unofficial’ end of summer, I’m not ready to give up on it yet! We still have plenty of warm and sunny days left, and I plan on taking full advantage of them. Something Boo and I have never done, in the 4 years we’ve lived in Boston, is take the ferry out to any of the Boston Harbor Islands. So this weekend, we did just that! We explored George’s island, which is home to civil war-era Fort Warren.

    Prepare yourself for photo overload…

  5. MAKERS GONNA MAKE

    twopiece1

    Like my new ink?

…JK, It’s a fake. I’m kind of in love with temporary tattoos. I think I’m too much of a chicken to get a real one, but being able to change it up and pretend for a while is pretty fun.

I whipped this outfit up real fast a few days ago to wear to the Boston Blogger summer soiree. Of course it’s almost the end of summer and I’m just now getting around to making some of the items on my summer sewing to-do list. I’m sooo behind. Here’s to hoping the warm weather sticks around for a while longer so I can get some use out of them.

  6. MIDI

    midi1

I usually only stick to midi length skirts when they are full and flowy. But something about this dress really caught my eye. And I’m glad I tried it on, because I love it!

A little reminder that it’s always a good idea to play with new lengths and shapes, even if you don’t think it will work for you. Just give it a shot. You never know.
